Shipping policy

Shipping Regions

  • We ship to all addresses within the United States.

Shipping Fees

  • A flat shipping fee of US $29.99 applies to all orders with a total order value under US $200.00.
  • Orders with a total order value of US $200.00 or more qualify for free standard shipping.

Order Cut-off & Processing Time

  • Orders must be placed by 5:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (GMT-07:00) on a business day to be processed that same day.
  • Our business hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM MST.
  • Order Processing Time: 1 to 5 business days

Shipping / Transit Time

  • Once shipped, delivery via standard courier typically takes 6–10 business days.
  • Estimated delivery for customers = Processing Time + Transit Time.
  • Example: If you order on Tuesday before 5:00 PM MST, shipping may occur by Friday; delivery would be between 6–10 business days from shipment.

Shipping Carriers

  • We use major couriers (e.g. UPS, FedEx, USPS) — actual carrier depends on package size, destination, and carrier availability.
  • A tracking number will be provided via email once your order ships.

Order Cancellation

  • Orders can be canceled within 2 days of purchase, assuming the package has not yet been dispatched.
  • After 2 days or once the order is shipped, cancellation requests may be subject to refusal or restocking fees.

Handling Special / Large Items

  • For oversized or unusually heavy items (e.g. large aquariums, chiller units, tanks), shipping may require freight-carrier handling; shipping costs and transit times may differ and will be indicated before checkout.
  • Customers will be notified if additional shipping fees or special handling is required.

Shipping Exclusions & Limitations

  • We do not ship outside of the contiguous United States at this time.
  • Wyoming residents (ship-from state) may be subject to different delivery-fee calculations or local restrictions; please contact us for details.
  • We reserve the right to delay shipping during holidays or carrier disruptions; estimated delivery dates may be adjusted accordingly.

Order Confirmation

Once you place an order, you will receive a confirmation email to let you know that we’ve received your order and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. Immediately after receiving your order, we contact our suppliers to verify that the item is in stock and ready for immediate shipment. If the item is on backorder or unavailable, we will cancel the pre-authorization and notify you via email. If the item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and prepare your order for dispatch.

Order Shipment

If your order is in stock and the charges are processed, your order will be shipped within five business days of placing it. We will send tracking details to the email address provided at checkout within 24 hours after the order leaves our warehouse. If you do not receive tracking information within six business days, please reach out to us at support@myaquariumdirect.com for assistance.

Address Change Requests

If your order has been processed or shipped and you wish to change the shipping address, we will make every effort to accommodate the request. However, please be aware that address changes may result in delays. Additionally, if there are any extra fees charged by our shipping partners due to the address change, the customer will be responsible for these charges. No exceptions.
